“MEDITATION RESIDENTIAL RETREAT”
7 Day Summer Retreat
with Krisana & Mazen
‘Whatsoever happens to you, it happens because of you.
Outside causes are secondary; inside causes are primary.’
Discovering who “I am”? What is this consciousness in me?
In order to live a life that is fulfilled and joyful, we need to experience the mind’s natural, innate inner peace. The various problems that we face may at times seem endless. However, it is possible to discover an inner stability and clarity, wherein these difficulties begin to lose their hold on us.
The path to cultivating inner peace is fundamental to being human – is a place open to all.
This meditation retreat allows us to step out of the complexity of our life, to listen deeply to our body, heart and mind. Some of the retreat will be held in silence, so that participants can better stay with their own experience as it unfolds, moment to moment. In this environment, awareness sharpens, the body quiets, the mind clears, and space opens for insight and understanding to develop.
With no diversions there is nothing to distract us. Since there is no place to hide from ourselves, there is a good possibility that we will know ourselves better after the retreat than we did before. Self-mastery/self knowledge and understanding grow as we see that we can live each moment either with inattention, fear and judgment, or with clarity, friendliness and awareness. By cultivating awareness, clarity and friendliness, we discover our path to liberation, inner freedom and a peaceful heart.
Finding quality in life and understanding the mind:
We have a great capacity to live a long life but we don’t know how to live, to reach this capacity, most humans do not know how to use their body, use their mind. We also have a great capacity to evolve in our consciousness.
The mind and brain function is so complex that scientists are still unravelling its mystery. It manages the whole body.
We need to understand and to be grateful for the mind, to have respect for the mind, knowing ourselves beyond the body and mind and going beyond the mind is a friendly evolution.
Meditation is not against mind, it is beyond mind.
Respecting, appreciating and taking care of our bodies – the vessel of our earthly experience:
We become what we eat. Food is the essential physical fuel for our bodies. Knowing what to ingest and how to sustain our complex and beautiful bodies with the healthiest of the food is not an option but a necessity. The food and drinking choices we make define our ability to face diseases, illnesses, and the way how we will be aging and dying. Either we strengthen our immune system with all the nutrients we give the body through our food or we constantly diminish its function by eating unhealthy food with little life force in them.
To function correctly (perfectly) our bodies and minds need constant sustainable and healthy habits. That requires us to become conscious about our thoughts and their effects and about our food choices and their effects. Thus, to live a long fulfilled healthy life requires our full integrity in our daily lives, presence, self-responsibility and our constant conscious choices to be whole, loving, grateful and respecting to our bodies – our physical incarnation on earth.
Awareness of food, and the understanding of the entire process of nourishment and eating is included at this retreat. Carefully prepared vegetarian/vegan meals are served in this retreat and to support our bodies this week will be gluten free, sugar free and caffeine free.
Krisana and Mazen provide facilitation and guidance throughout the meditation retreat.
